Jewel by Lisa AW 2013

No secret that I am obsessed with JBL. Their website got a facelift and they released images of the new collection. Please to report that, they still got it! Love. Love. Love.

Here is a sample but there is lots more to see.

Ciara x Paper Magazine

I've been loving Ciara's style lately. I prefer her as a blonde, but that is neither her nor there.

She looks hot in these pics from her Paper Magazine shoot.

BEZ x Say

I can't get enough of this song lately. Adorable video too.

INSTAGRAM Chronicles

1. I've been abusing those shoes. They are so comfy and fun.
2. Had the quintissential Summer bar night with some my awesome friends.
3. Most of my magazines arrived on the same day and I spent a hungover afternoon reading in bed.
4. My fav lipstick when I'm not wearing red.
5. Dinner with my sister and godsister. I live for burgers and this lamb burger from Cask Bar and Kitchen was delicious.

TUMBLR

Mrs. Carter

Love it.
Two weeks ago, I went to the Mrs. Carter Show. She is undoubtedly the King, Queen, whatever you want to call her.

Jay-Z came out. It actually happened. I was in the trance the entire time. I don't remember the last time I ever did not look at my phone for two hours straight. If you ever get the chance, GO AND SEE her live.

Lookbook: 'Casual' Friday

In case it is not already clear, I live for white and off-white shirts. Summer staple that goes with everything.

Lochnation X Jewel Magazine

Lo on the cover of Jewel Magazine, Zimbabwe's premier women's lifestyle magazine. Love it! If you are in Zimbabwe, grab a copy.

President for Life x Quazimotto on Wax

"These eye-catching garments are expertly tailored to impeccable standards. 100% made in Ghana by master tailors, each of our boxer shorts is one of a kind and cut for a cozy fit that reflects the craftsmanship of the hands that made it." That is the description from the about us page of President for Life.

I LOVE this man, I love the hat (I see these all the time but I want to know their actual name & origin). The whole aesthetic just works. Great job by Quazimotto on Wax, an NYC-based photographer from Equatorial Guinea.

Instagram Chronicles

Still reading Ghana Must Go, I take back what I said about it before. It is a really good book. It does take about 100 pages to get going but wow...well done, Taiye Selasi.

Still on the #WatchTheTone campaign. I feel like I've lost some of my intensity so trying to get it back. I got some new brighter sneakers to boost morale.

Post workout breakfast. Scrambled eggs, avo and turkey bacon. Plus the latest issue of Time. That article is worth a read (I've never understood people who don't want kids).

I'm in a hair rut. I pretty much wear my hair in a bun 95% of the time. I'm thinking braids or something next.

Had a mini reunion for a friend's birthday. Beer pong was SO intense. I did not play because I haven't played since college and I am so competitive so it would not have gone well.  I was not there for long but it was nice to be around some old high school friends and have some summer fun.
